50. Keep a Clean House with a Busy Life

Clean House with a Busy Life | Kylee Ann Mentors Moms Podcast

You all know I am an Enneagram 1. If you’ve stuck around here long enough, you know my weird-not-so-weird enneagram quirks. I am a chronic picker-upper and tireless cleaner. I might just be one of the very few people out there who puts the window cleaners, the carpet guys, the car washes and the professional deep cleaners on their stories.
Last month someone asked me how I optimize my household chores/clean house?! I cannot believe in 50 episodes I haven’t talked about cleaning! There is no better way to celebrate number. 50 😉
Having a clean house is very very important to me, but I don’t do it because it’s what other people expect when they come to my home. A clean home is 100% for me. I thrive off a clean, de-cluttered house and organized spaces just bring me so much peace. When I come home at the end of the day, or walk downstairs each morning, I don’t want to see messes.
But at the same time — I am a busy busy person. I have mom life, life-life, neighbor life. I don’t have time to stay home all day to clean my house. You don’t have time to stay home all day to clean your house. I have learned how to optimize so I can stay sane.
If you start your week with an organized house, it just makes life so much easier. I love the clean floors, the organized drawers, and the empty closets, I just don’t spend a lot of time doing it. I’m sharing what I do to optimize my cleaning routines so you can feel like you’re on top of home-life even when life is busy.

Here are my tips for keeping a clean house amongst a busy schedule and messy kids:

1. Organize EVERYTHING
– Declutter, simplify, purge stuff you don’t need, get all the organizing things. Make a master list of what needs cleaning.Take all the scattered things and put them in ONE place.
2. Do a simple pick-up before you go to bed
3. Get a Robot Vacuum
4. Get your family involved
5. Outsource
