75. Open the Door to Your Magnetic Life with Tracey Pontarelli

4 WAYS TO OPEN THE DOOR TO YOUR MAGNETIC LIFE!

Tracey is a former marketing and branding professional turned multiple six-figure wellness entrepreneur, business and mindset coach. She loved loved loved her career but the hours didn’t blend well with her family life. She wanted greater flexibility and ended up transitioning to a full-time mom, but still wanted a fun and rewarding career a couple years later.

As her three children began to grow, Tracey tapped into her love of wellness, and skills as a brand marketer, to build a successful wellness business.

The key to her success:

  • Understanding the powers of attraction marketing
  • The power of a positive mindset
  • Being very intentional in everything she does

She now coaches frustrated moms how to build a profitable online income without sacrificing their priorities by being:

  • authentic
  • deliberate
  • magnetic

GOING BACK TO A FULL-TIME CAREER

I love love love that! On this podcast I talk a lot about being a burned out mom and wanting to find greater fulfillment through working. But I don’t talk a lot about being a working mom already, then going to full-time momhood and going back to a full-time career a few years later.

I THINK THERE ARE A GOOD AMOUNT OF MOMS OUT THERE WHO ARE JUST CONFUSED AFTER STEPPING AWAY FROM A CAREER JUST WONDERING HOW TO GET BACK INTO THE INDUSTRY.

#1: REMEMBER THAT MOM LIFE IS AN EBB & FLOW. HONOR WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW & STAY PRESENT

“If you would have told me I would stay at home with my kids at some point in my life, I would have thought you were crazy. It’s important to understand that you don’t know what’s in front of you. You just need to honor where you are and recognize that family life has so many shifts.”

Motherhood is an ebb and flow and Tracey gets that! She knew she wanted to be home with her kiddos when she realized that working for other people really wasn’t working for her. She was missing things that she really didn’t want to miss because she was not in charge of her schedule.

“The only way out was to step back and that was super scary! I had built up so much identity in who I was through what I did in my career. I really didn’t know what I was without my job. I had to let go of the labels I put on myself as a working woman and let go of the pressure of the progression in my career”

Tracey looked for other ways she could contribute to society. And as her kids got older, she saw the little windows where she could get involved and eventually made the mood to go back into the business world.

#2: FOLLOW WHAT LIGHTS YOU UP

Tracey picked up a little bit of marketing work thinking she would go back into the workforce. But her kids were really against that – just concerned about their mom not being around all the time. So she instead found personal training and fitness, and she built a wellness coaching business around those passions.

“Follow what lights you up. Figuring out what doesn’t work is just as important as figuring out what does. When you start asking yourself what else you can do, you’ll be surprised by what the universe gives you. And know that you’re never really starting over, you’re taking all the stuff you learned in your previous jobs, with you. It will all show up as you move along and look back. You’re really packing skills. I took parts of everything that I had done previously and it’s all been so helpful.”

Women are not one-dimensional. You have so many strengths to share with the world! Lean into those and follow what lights you up.

#3: LET GO OF THE LABELS YOU PUT ON YOURSELF

Use the law of attraction to design your life.

Everything Tracey does is about:

  • Attracting
  • Manifesting
  • Adopting

the mindset for the life you want. And I am so here for it. I’ve found that mindset and law of attraction is key to getting where I want to be in life.

“Thoughts become things, and believe it or not, you are in the belief that thoughts are something that just happens and are out of your cannot control. Your brain is designed to look for the reasons why something won’t work. They come up with stuff that’s not true. It’s really on you to train your brain to manifest the good because the more we think about something, the closer we bring it to reality for either good or bad.”

#4: CLEAR YOUR BRAIN FOR SOME CLARITY AND ALL THE BEST IDEAS

Get some kind of meditation practice! It helps to separate our thoughts and keep out the bad ones. There’s so many meditation apps and methods out there, but just choose one. And it doesn’t have to be anything long, just a couple of minutes. Tracey and I meditate in the morning because it’s a good start to the day. Then we actually both do gratitude journaling and affirmations in the evening before we go to bed.

Tracey sets up reminders throughout her day to remind herself to check your thoughts and make sure they’re happy thoughts. Totally something you can do too to have more control of your day.

The mindset stuff is the hardest! Especially if you’re an entrepreneur, creative person, always doing. But the best ideas happen when you clear your brain. You got to make space for the great stuff that’s coming to you when you’re not doing, doing, doing.

“Clarity comes when you head in the direction of what lights you up. Tune into what excites you and have the courage to say no to things that don’t excite you. It’s so hard to say no, but if you continue to follow what lights you up, it will lead you to the next best thing. Trust that! If you’re burned out, that’s your body telling you to stop and redirect. You’re not here to do whatever everyone asks you to do, be tired and then die someday. You’re here to find your gifts and share them with others.”

What do you want? Start with that intention everyday.

The hardest thing to do is know when something is not serving you and have the courage to pivot. It may feel selfish to put your desires in front of others, but that’s just what you need to do. If you honor your needs, you’re able to serve better.
